Maryland Department of Labor's FAMLI program is seeking an Accounts Payable Accountant II to support the AP unit, ensuring accurate processing of invoices and compliant financial records. You will prepare routine journal entries, reconcile accounts, and provide financial analyses while supporting audits.

The role partners with the Financial Services team, contributes to month‑end close, and participates in special projects. Hybrid telework is available in Baltimore, MD.

Qualificações

• Bachelor degree with 3 credits in auditing.
• Two years of accounting experience required.
• CPA or related substitutions may apply.

Responsabilidades

• Review and process vendor invoices, benefits payments, and other payments.
• Prepare routine journal entries and maintain AP records.
• Perform routine reconciliations and research discrepancies.
• Collaborate with Financial Services to close monthly/quarterly/annual books.
• Assist with bank account management and ensure funds for payouts.
• Prepare analyses and reports on payouts, refunds, and withholdings.
• Support audits by gathering documentation.
