Job summary

Midwest Orthopaedics at Rush is seeking a full-time Accounts Payable Specialist to support the corporate office in Westchester, IL. The role entails daily AP tasks, vendor communications, and processing payments in a fast-paced medical environment.

The position offers a Monday–Friday schedule with a hybrid option after training, and a comprehensive benefits package. Ideal candidates hold an associate degree, have 2+ years AP experience, and are proficient in Microsoft Dynamics GP and MS Office.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher in Business, Accounting, or Finance.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in an accounts payable role.
• 2 years of experience using financial/accounting software packages, preferably Microsoft Dynamics GP.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Proficient in MS Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Ability to multi-task.
• Open to change and willing to learn new skills.
• Ability to follow up on pending issues and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Analyzes and processes accounts payable in a timely manner.
• Codes invoices, vouchers, expense reports, and check requests with correct codes.
• Handles vendor correspondence by phone or email.
• Investigates and resolves invoice processing issues.
• Prepares check requests, wire transfers, and ACH transactions.
• Reconciles accounts monthly and notifies Controller of discrepancies.
