Job summary

Serco Inc. in Herndon, VA is seeking an Accounts Payable Administrator to support vendor invoicing and payments. You will validate invoices, process and code payments, and respond to vendor inquiries.

This role requires US citizenship, a High School Diploma or GED, and at least 3 years of AP experience in a US Federal contracting environment. You will collaborate with Finance, Procurement, and vendors, with a hybrid schedule including one day in the office.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship required
• Minimum 3 years of Accounts Payable experience, preferably in US Federal Contracting
• 2+ years supporting EFT/ACH, wire, and check payments
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word

Responsibilities

• Review, validate, and process vendor invoices in AP systems
• Verify approvals, supporting docs, purchase orders, and account coding
• Process EFT, ACH, wire, and checks while ensuring controls
• Assist with vendor payment inquiries and issue resolution
• Monitor invoice queues and aging reports to meet terms and capture discounts
• Research and resolve invoice discrepancies with Procurment, Finance, and vendors
• Assist with month-end close and reconciliations as assigned
• Support internal/external audits with documentation and payment support
