Serco Inc. in Herndon, VA is seeking an Accounts Payable Administrator to join our professional team and manage end-to-end processing of vendor invoices in a high-volume environment.

You will ensure accuracy of approvals, code validation, and timely payments while supporting EFT/ACH and check payments. This role supports month-end close, audits, and cross-department collaboration, with one day per week in the Herndon office.

Formación

• U.S. Citizenship required.
• High School Diploma/GED.
• Minimum 3 years of Accounts Payable experience, preferably in high-volume US Federal Contracting environments.
• Advanced knowledge of invoice processing, payment processing, and three-way match concepts.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience supporting EFT/ACH, wire, and check payment processes.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Ability to work collaboratively across Finance, Procurement, Operations, and vendor organizations.
• Ability to work in Herndon, VA corporate office one day per week.

Responsabilidades

• Review, validate, and process vendor invoices accurately and timely in AP systems.
• Verify invoice approvals, supporting documentation, purchase orders, and account coding prior to processing.
• Support EFT, ACH, wire, and check payment processing activities, ensuring compliance with internal controls and payment schedules.
• Assist with vendor payment inquiries and issue resolution.
• Monitor invoice queues and aging reports to ensure payment terms are met and discounts are captured when applicable.
• Research and resolve invoice discrepancies with Procurement, Program Finance, Accounting, and vendors.
• Assist with month-end close activities, account reconciliations, and reporting as assigned.
• Support internal and external audit requests by providing documentation and payment support.
• Maintain organized electronic records and documentation per retention requirements.
• Provide excellent customer service and timely responses to vendor/internal inquiries.
• Identify opportunities to improve AP processes, efficiency, and controls.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
