Job summary

Canyon & Cascade is seeking an Accounts Payable/Administrative role to handle routine and non-routine clerical and accounting tasks in accordance with standard procedures. The position supports general accounting and accounts payable activities for a growing rail and logistics provider.

Ideal candidates will have an associate degree in business or accounting, strong Excel skills, and experience with Great Plains.

Qualifications

• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Must be organized, detail-oriented, analytical, and able to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Prepare invoices for entry into automated system and obtain electronic approvals.
• Process invoices in Great Plains accounting system.
• Process PO invoices and project invoices.
• Review reports and statements; respond to payment status inquiries.
• Communicate with vendors and provide information for tax filings.
• Assist in monthly, quarterly, and yearly closing and audits.
