Financial Independence Group (FIG) is seeking an Accounting Associate to support the accounting team with a focus on accounts payable, payments, and vendor relations. The role involves end-to-end AP management, processing daily payment requests, and coordinating weekly AP runs in Bill.com, plus ensuring accurate data sync with Sage Intacct.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in accounting with AP focus or a bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance/business administration.
• Advanced Excel skills (XLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) and tech-forward mindset for cloud-based tools.
• Direct experience with Sage Intacct and Bill.com is highly preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Generalist accounting support, assisting senior team members across FIG’s accounting and financial reporting.
• Oversee full-cycle AP: invoices, GL coding, W‑9s, and banking docs.
• Lead daily payment requests and weekly AP runs within Bill.com.
• Administer sync between Bill.com and Sage Intacct to ensure data integrity.
• Serve as primary contact for vendor inquiries and resolve billing discrepancies with professionalism.
• Support month-end close with GL review, accruals, and GAAP treatment.
