Job summary

Beacon Hill Staffing Group is seeking an Accounting Specialist to join its accounting team. The role primarily supports accounts payable activities while assisting with additional accounting functions and special projects.

This position offers exposure to multiple areas of the business and regular interaction with internal teams and external vendors, providing hands-on experience across the finance function.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in accounting, accounts payable, or a related field.
• Accounting coursework or a bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively across departments and with external vendors.

Responsibilities

• Process and code invoices for approval and payment.
• Assist with weekly and monthly payment processing.
• Maintain accurate accounts payable records and supporting documentation.
• Assist with check deposits and other accounts receivable activities.
• Support bank reconciliations and general accounting functions as needed.
• Communicate with vendors and internal departments to resolve invoice and payment questions.
• Assist with tracking expenses and maintaining accounting schedules.
• Support special projects and other accounting responsibilities as assigned.
