Simmons Foods, Inc. is seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk to ensure accurate processing of invoices and timely payments. You will match invoices to paperwork, enter data into the accounting system, and generate discrepancy reports for management review.

You will resolve vendor inquiries, maintain documentation, and help reconcile balances. The role requires careful data entry, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work independently within a team-focused environment.

Formación

• Minimum 1 year accounting experience.
• Accounts payable experience a plus.
• Basic understanding of math and accounting principles.
• Proficient with Word and Excel; working knowledge of 10-key.
• Experience with ERP systems a plus.
• Accurate data entry with strong attention to detail and organization.

Responsabilidades

• Processes invoices and matches to related paperwork; enters invoices timely and accurately.
• Generates reports to identify discrepancies and seeks approvals as needed.
• Processes payments including checks and electronic payments; ensures timely payment per vendor terms.
• Resolves vendor concerns via calls and emails; corroborates issues and coordinates resolutions.
• Cross-trains with other accounting staff to cover day‑to‑day tasks.
• Contributes to team development and adheres to company policies and lean principles.
