Benchmark Human Services in Fort Wayne, IN is seeking an Accounts Payable specialist to manage invoices, expense data, and check processing. You will allocate expenses by department, reconcile AP with the General Ledger, and respond to vendor inquiries while maintaining compliance with health and safety standards.

The role requires 5+ years of relevant experience and proficiency with Microsoft Office products.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in accounting preferred.
• 5+ years' experience working with Fixed Assets.
• Good organizational skills.
• Good communications skills.
• Experience with Microsoft products.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for all aspects of AP function, including collection of invoices, employee expenses, inputting data into the system, printing checks, and mailing out checks.
• Responsible for allocating expenses to different departments.
• Responsible for reconciling AP to itself and to the General Ledger.
• Responsible for answering questions from vendors.
• Responsible for collecting data about department expenses.
• Responsible for backing up others in the department.
• Report any suspected abuse, neglect or exploitation immediately to supervisor or department head.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Comply with all standards to assure the health and safety of all individuals.
