Job summary

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of accounts payable experience, strong financial organization, and exposure to construction or industrial accounting workflows, plus proficiency in Sage 300 RE Construction and Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of accounts payable experience, ideally within the construction, manufacturing, or commercial industrial sector.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; Sage 300 RE Construction experience strongly preferred.
• Familiarity with job-costing, construction lien waivers, and purchase order systems.
• Strong attention to detail, time-management, and confidentiality.
• High school diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Full-Cycle Accounts Payable: Manage end-to-end AP functions, including vendor invoice processing, PO matching, coding, and weekly check runs.
• Vendor & Account Reconciliation: Maintain relationships with suppliers and resolve invoice discrepancies.
• Compliance & Record Keeping: Ensure payments comply with policies, job-costing, and construction accounting standards.
• Financial Reporting Assistance: Support month-end closing, reporting, and audit preparations.
• Cross-Functional Support: Collaborate with project managers and office staff to verify job-cost coding and billing.

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our administrative team in Cashmere, WA. In this role, you will take complete ownership of the full-cycle accounts payable process—ensuring accuracy, vendor satisfaction, and strict adherence to accounting deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

• Full-Cycle Accounts Payable: Manage end-to-end AP functions, including vendor invoice processing, purchase order matching, coding, and weekly check runs.
• Vendor & Account Reconciliation: Maintain strong relationships with suppliers, subcontractors, and vendors; resolve invoice discrepancies and account inquiries promptly.
• Compliance & Record Keeping: Ensure all payments comply with company policies, job-costing structures, and construction accounting standards.
• Financial Reporting Assistance: Support the office and leadership team with month-end closing procedures, reporting, and audit preparations as needed.
• Cross-Functional Support: Collaborate closely with project managers, estimators, and office staff to verify job-cost coding and material billing.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Experience: 5+ years of accounts payable experience, ideally within the construction, manufacturing, or commercial industrial sector.
• Software Proficiency: Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook). Hands-on experience with Sage 300 RE Construction software is strongly preferred.
• Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with job-costing, construction lien waivers, and purchase order systems is a major plus.
• Core Competencies: Exceptional attention to detail, strong time-management skills, high ethical standards, and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Licensing & Education: High School Diploma or GED required.

Compensation & Benefits

Pay Range: $23.00 – $25.00 per hour (DOE)

Schedule: Full-time, Monday through Friday
