Job summary

ThinkingAhead is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to join a employee-owned construction company. The role handles invoices and payments in a mainly manual AP environment, based in Portland with relocation to Beaverton before year-end.

• 3+ years of accounts payable experience in the construction industry.
• Job cost accounting, bookkeeping, subcontractor payment, and contract experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel; construction accounting software Sage 300 CRE/Timberline preferred.

Job description

We’re hiring an Accounts Payable Specialist to join an employee-owned, $120 million commercial construction company with nearly 350 employees. This position processes approximately 50 invoices per day in a manual accounts payable environment. The role is currently in Portland and will relocate to Beaverton before year-end.

Responsibilities

• Process vendor and subcontractor invoices and payments.
• Print invoices, verify available purchase order funds, and enter transactions.
• Process payments according to contract terms.
• Support job costing, bookkeeping, and general accounting.
• Manage invoice documentation using Adobe Acrobat Pro.

Compensation:
