Cincinnati, Ohio (Remote – must reside in Cincinnati, OH) – $19.00–$21.00/hour, First Shift, Contract-to-Hire

Our client is seeking a detail‑oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join their team. This is a contract‑to‑hire opportunity offering first shift hours with the flexibility to work remotely.

Key Responsibilities

• Process a high volume of invoices accurately and in a timely manner
• Review, code, and enter invoices into the accounting system
• Match purchase orders, invoices, and receiving documents (3‑way match)
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
• Communicate with vendors and internal departments to address invoice or payment issues
• Assist with weekly check runs and electronic payments
• Maintain organized and accurate financial records and documentation
• Support month‑end closing activities related to accounts payable

Qualifications

• 1+ years of accounts payable or related accounting experience
• Strong data entry skills with high attention to detail
• Experience with accounting software and Microsoft Excel
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work cross‑functionally
• Associate degree in Accounting or related field preferred
