Job summary

Addison Group in Bloomington, MN is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist for a hybrid role (after training). You will manage high-volume AP tasks, perform 3-way matching, and work with Dynamics 365 BC. Prior full-cycle AP experience and strong Excel skills are required.

• Experience with high-volume invoice processing, coding, and posting.
• Strong vendor statement reconciliation and discrepancy resolution.
• Proficient in Excel (PivotTables and VLOOKUP).

Responsibilities

• Process high-volume supplier invoices with 3-way matching of PO, invoice and receipt.
• Review invoices for accuracy, proper coding, supporting docs, and approvals.
• Research and resolve PO, receipt, pricing, and invoice discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate vendor records and documentation.
• Reconcile vendor statements and credit memos; resolve outstanding items.
• Support weekly check runs, EFTs, and manual checks and reconciliations.
• Collaborate with internal teams and vendors on AP inquiries.
• Handle AP reclassifications and maintain accounting records.
• Support Dynamics 365 BC initiatives and system projects.
• Assist with AP, AR, and general accounting tasks as needed.

Location: Bloomington, MN (Hybrid schedule after training, only local candidates in Minnesota will be eligible for consideration)

Compensation: $28 - $32 / hour dependent on applicable experience

We are partnering with a growing organization in the Bloomington area to add an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to their accounting team. This is a hands‑on, high-volume AP role ideal for someone who has strong full-cycle AP experience, is comfortable working in a PO environment, and has hands‑on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.

Responsibilities

• Process high-volume supplier invoices using 3-way matching between purchase orders, invoices, and receipts


• Review invoices for accuracy, proper coding, supporting documentation, and required approvals


• Research and resolve PO, receipt, pricing, and invoice discrepancies


• Maintain accurate vendor records and accounting documentation


• Reconcile vendor statements, invoices, and credit memos and resolve outstanding items


• Support weekly check runs, EFT payments, manual checks, and payment reconciliations


• Partner with internal departments and vendors to research and resolve AP inquiries


• Process AP-related reclassifications and maintain accurate accounting records

Qualifications

• 2+ years of hands‑on, full-cycle Accounts Payable experience; more experienced AP professionals preferred


• Strong experience with 3‑way matching in a PO-based environment


• Hands‑on Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central experience required


• Experience with high-volume invoice processing, coding, and posting


• Strong vendor statement reconciliation and discrepancy‑resolution experience


• Solid Microsoft Excel skills, including PivotTables and VLOOKUPs


• Ability to quickly learn processes and independently manage day‑to‑day AP responsibilities


• Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven accounting environment
