About the Role:

In this role, a Level II Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for reviewing and processing invoices, including calculating, posting, and verifying financial data. They perform accounts payable functions in an automated system. This role involves research and analysis.

1. Transfer Accounts Payable (A/P) invoices from Basware to PeopleSoft system.
2. Review invoices received from branches and departments in Basware.
3. Process A/P check run.
4. Post General Ledger (GL) entries to PeopleSoft system.
5. Assist branches and departments with A/P inquiries.
6. Provide assistance to corporate accounting department staff as needed.
7. Back up the duties of the Accounts Payable III position as needed.
8. All employees are responsible for internal controls in the performance of their duties, as established in policies and the Code of Conduct.
9. Demonstrate compliance with all bank regulations for the assigned job function, keeping up to date on regulation changes.
10. Follow all bank policies and procedures, complete required training.
11. Maintain knowledge of policies regarding Bank Secrecy Act, Regulation CC, Regulation E, Bank Security, and other applicable regulations.
12. May be asked to coach, mentor, or train others as a subject matter expert.
13. Actively foster Umpqua's corporate culture.
14. Take personal initiative and be a positive example for others.

16. Perform other duties as assigned.

About You:

1. H.S. Diploma or GED required.
2. Associate’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience required.
3. 2-4 years’ experience in accounts payable or equivalent required.
4. Knowledge of office procedures and equipment, proficiency with ten-key.
5. Proficient in Microsoft Office software including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
6. Strong analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills.
7. Ability to manage time effectively to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
8. Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.

Job Location: Fully onsite at 5210 74th Street W, Lakewood, WA 98499.

We offer a competitive total rewards package, including base wages ($19.00 - $28.00) and benefits. The pay rate depends on factors such as knowledge, skills, experience, education, and location. The role may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
