Responsibilities

• Managing the full cycle of accounts payable activities including invoice processing, payment processing, and vendor communication.
• Ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices, purchase orders, expense reports, credit memos and payment transactions.
• Maintaining vendor files and updating records as needed.
• Preparing monthly, quarterly and annual 1099 forms.
• Identifying discrepancies and resolving billing issues.
• Assisting with month-end closing activities and providing support during audits.
• Developing and implementing improvements to the accounts payable process.
• Collaborating with other members of the finance team and liaising with other departments as necessary.
• Providing training and guidance to junior staff members.
  
  

Job Details

Qualifications

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in an Accounts Payable role, preferably within the healthcare industry.
• Extensive knowledge and experience with 1099 forms.
• A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field preferred.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and accounts payable processes.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, and accounting software.
• Excellent numerical skills and attention to detail.
• Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and work to tight deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to make sound decisions.
• A team player mentality, with the ability to work independently when required.
