Job summary

Comfort Systems USA Shoffner in Knoxville, Tennessee seeks an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team. You will process invoices, maintain vendor records in COINS ERP, and support project accounting.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years of AP experience and strong Excel skills, with attention to detail and teamwork. This full-time, on-site role offers hourly pay of $18-$20, an annual profit-sharing bonus, generous benefits, PTO from day one, and a 7:30am–4:30pm schedule.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of Accounts Payable experience.
• Construction accounting experience preferred.
• Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business preferred; equivalent AP experience will be considered.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Issue and process purchase orders in a timely manner.
• Process invoices in a timely manner.
• Resolve discrepancies and communicate with vendors and Project Managers.
• Maintain vendor records in COINS ERP.
• Ensure expense reports are completed on time.
• Help with annual and monthly closing and reporting.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Assist with answering phones while the receptionist is on lunch or PTO.
• Assist AP Manager and Controller, as assigned.

This role will process invoices, maintain vendor records, and support project accounting. Ideal candidates will have experience in high-volume AP, strong organizational skills, and detail oriented. This position is full-time, on-site position in Knoxville, Tennessee.
