Job summary

PND Engineers, Inc. is seeking an experienced A/P - Payroll Accountant to support 140 staff across our offices. You’ll master payable and biweekly payroll, then broaden expertise into AR, project accounting, and financial reporting within a small, collaborative team.

The role emphasizes accuracy, confidentiality, and timely delivery in a fast-paced environment, with opportunities to advance as you grow with the company. Anchorage, AK location.

Qualifications

• At least five years of progressive experience in accounts payable and payroll.
• An associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
• Hands-on experience with Deltek/Ajera or other project accounting software.
• Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
• Excellent communication skills and a customer‑service mindset.
• Integrity and confidentiality in handling sensitive records.
• Valid Alaska driver’s license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Master accounts payable and biweekly payroll processes for accuracy and timeliness.
• Cross-train in accounts receivable, project accounting, and financial reporting.
• Support the accounting team with diverse duties and contribute to process improvements.
