Job summary

Metropolitan Crane & Hoist Co. seeks an Accounts Payable Manager to own the AP function, vendor relationships, and the accuracy and timeliness of all AP work. The role leads the AP team and reports into the Corporate Controller on escalations and performance.

You will manage the AP staff, ensure reconciliations and a clean aging, and oversee 1099s, licenses, and payments per the cash plan. Strong leadership and process improvement are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience leading an Accounts Payable team and managing vendor relationships.
• Ownership of AP accuracy and timely processing of all payables.
• Ability to coach and develop AP staff and work with HR on performance.
• Proficiency with Beanworks and other AP systems.

Responsibilities

• Team management and development of the AP staff, setting expectations and reviews.
• Own AP operations, ensure accuracy, timely processing, and reconciliations.
• Maintain absence-coverage plans and ensure continuity of AP tasks.
• Provide weekly status reports to Corporate Controller with aging and issues.
• Handle 1099s, IRS deadlines, licenses, and renewals within AP scope.
