Job summary

LHH partners with a well-established organization to fill the Accounts Payable Manager role in a hybrid work environment in Washington. You will lead a dynamic team responsible for high-volume AP and cash operations, driving accuracy and timely disbursements.

You will collaborate with Accounting, Finance, and Operations to optimize processes, strengthen internal controls, and implement efficiencies across multi-entity setups.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in accounting, AP, cash management, or transactional accounting.
• Experience leading and developing teams.
• Experience in high-volume multi-entity environments preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of 10+ professionals across Accounts Payable.
• Oversee AP processing including ACH/wire/check payments and bank relations.
• Drive process improvements and documentation for efficiency.
• Partner with Accounting, Finance, and Operations teams.
• Ensure strong internal controls and timely critical disbursements.

What You'll Do:

• Lead and develop a team of 10+ professionals across Accounts Payable
• Oversee AP processing, ACH/wire/check payments, cash operations, and banking relationships
• Drive process improvements, documentation, and operational efficiencies
• Partner cross-functionally with Accounting, Finance, and Operations teams
• Ensure strong internal controls and timely execution of critical disbursements

What We're Looking For:

• 5+ years of accounting, AP, cash management, or transactional accounting experience
• Prior leadership experience managing and developing teams
• Experience in high-volume multi-entity environment preferred
• Self-starter who can thrive in a changing environment and create structure where needed
