Overview

About the Role: We’re seeking a dynamic and experienced Accounts Payable Manager to lead the AP operations for one of the area\'s top employers. Applicants should have exposure to working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. This role is pivotal to the finance team and reports directly to the Controller. You’ll oversee a team of 8-10 AP professionals, driving efficiency, accuracy, and compliance across all payables functions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of up to 10 AP Specialists.
• Oversee full-cycle accounts payable processes, including invoice processing, payment runs, and vendor management.
• Ensure timely and accurate processing of high-volume transactions.
• Develop and implement process improvements to enhance workflow and reduce errors.
• Collaborate with internal departments and external vendors to resolve discrepancies.
• Monitor AP aging reports and ensure timely payments.
• Maintain compliance with internal controls and company policies.
• Support month-end, prepare reports and metrics for the Controller and senior leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 5+ years of AP experience, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
• Proven success managing teams in high-volume environments.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and full-cycle AP.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in robust ERP systems and Microsoft Excel.
