Ideal candidates will have 5+ years in AP, strong cash flow knowledge, and a proven ownership mindset. QuickBooks experience is preferred as the organization scales its AP function and back-office operations.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of accounts payable experience.
• Previous supervisory or management experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of AP processes, cash flow management, and financial controls.
• Ability to effectively prioritize fluid demands and manage deadlines.
• Strong ownership and attention to detail skills.
• Experience with QuickBooks preferred.
• Experience managing high volume AP for multiple entities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee accounts payable operations across 20+ assisted living facilities.
• Manage and develop AP team members.
• Review invoices for accuracy, reasonableness, and appropriate pricing.
• Prepare & present AP cash flow budgets to support effective cash management and payment planning.
• Analyze charges, question discrepancies or unusual costs, and proactively identify opportunities for cost savings before payment.
• Ensure timely and accurate payment processing.
• Create AP workflows, controls, and reporting processes.
• Investigate discrepancies and resolve vendor issues.
• Partner with finance leadership to improve financial reporting timelines.
• Support continued growth and scaling of the AP department.

Position Overview:

A rapidly growing healthcare management company is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Manager to lead and strengthen the AP function across a broad portfolio of assisted living facilities.

This individual will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day accounts payable operations, prioritizing workload, managing team members, improving processes, and ensuring timely and accurate vendor payments. The ideal candidate understands cash flow, takes ownership of results, and can effectively manage both people and processes in a dynamic fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee accounts payable operations across 20+ assisted living facilities
• Manage and develop AP team members
• Review invoices for accuracy, reasonableness, and appropriate pricing
