One80 Intermediaries is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our growing team. You will review invoices, process payments, and manage vendor relationships while upholding internal controls and timely processing.

Ideal candidates have 5 years AP experience, strong communication, and meticulous attention to detail. This role supports our Illinois operations with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Accounting or Finance, or a related field preferred.
• 5 years of related accounts payable experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; interacts effectively at all levels.
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize based on business needs.
• Attention to detail and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Review invoices for documentation and approvals, and enter data for processing.
• Process payments via check and ACH/Wire to vendors and brokers.
• Submit vendor payments to accounting system for authorization and approvals.
• Reconciling company credit card statements and supporting documentation.
• Review outstanding checks and re-issue or send to unclaimed funds as needed.
• Respond to payment inquiries; maintain organized AP files.
• Monitor bank accounts for unauthorized transactions and ensure timely payments.
• Index incoming mail and payables in the system; assist with monthly reconciliations.
