Job summary

Soni is seeking an Accounts Payable Manager in the United States (Texas). The role will lead a five-person AP team, drive process improvements, and implement automation to scale our AP operations as the company grows.

You will collaborate with Accounting, Procurement, Operations, and Finance to strengthen controls and improve vendor relationships. The ideal candidate has 6+ years in Accounts Payable with proven leadership skills and hands-on experience in high-volume environments, and experience

Qualifications

• 6+ years of progressive Accounts Payable experience.
• 3+ years of people management or team leadership.
• Experience leading AP operations in a high‑volume environment.
• Experience supporting or implementing process improvement and automation initiatives.
• Strong understanding of AP controls, workflows, and best practices.
• Proven ability to partner with accounting and operational stakeholders.
• ERP system experience required.
• Experience working in manufacturing environments.
• Experience with ERP systems, particularly Infor M3.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all Accounts Payable operations, ensuring accurate and timely invoice processing and vendor payments.
• Supervise, mentor, and develop a team of AP professionals while fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
• Evaluate and improve AP workflows, policies, and procedures to increase efficiency and scalability.
• Identify, recommend, and support automation initiatives that enhance productivity and reduce manual processes.
• Ensure strong internal controls and compliance with company policies and financial procedures.
• Monitor AP aging, payment schedules, vendor reconciliations, and issue resolution.
• Partner with Accounting, Procurement, Operations, and Finance teams to improve processes and maintain strong vendor relationships.
• Support month‑end and year‑end close activities related to accounts payable.
• Analyze AP metrics and reporting to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
• Assist with audits by providing required documentation and supporting schedules.
• Drive ERP optimization efforts and support system enhancements as the business grows.
• Ensure timely resolution of escalated vendor and internal stakeholder concerns.
