Job summary

Neighborhood Healthcare is seeking an Accounts Payable Supervisor to oversee daily AP operations and drive an accelerated month-end close. You will lead the AP staff, uphold internal controls, and support process improvements to ensure accurate and timely financial results.

Reporting to the AP Manager with a dotted-line to the Senior Accounting Manager, you will coordinate with Procurement, Contracts, and Accounting, supervise workflows, and ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies.

Qualifications

• 3 years of accounts payable or general accounting experience required, including supervisory or lead experience.
• Experience with regulatory filings such as 1099s, sales/use tax, and unclaimed property is strongly preferred.
• 3 years of MD365BC experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily AP activities including invoice processing, supplier inquiries, payment runs, and AP subledger reconciliations
• Oversee invoice approval workflows and ensure timely processing and correct coding
• Serve as escalation point for supplier issues and internal inquiries
• Ensure compliance with policy, internal controls, and audit requirements
• Prepare and review journal entries for AP accruals, reclasses, and allocation entries
• Oversee prepaid, recurring, and periodic expense schedules tied to AP activity
• Identify gaps and develop solutions to streamline AP workflow and close-related tasks
• Maintain and update SOPs and workflow maps
• Lead preparation and submission of annual 1099 forms
• Manage sales and use tax filings and related compliance activities
• Oversee unclaimed property remittance and reporting
• Supervise AP team members with coaching and performance feedback
• Collaborate with Procurement, Contracts, and Accounting
• Provide subject matter expertise for AP systems, processes and policy questions
