Job summary

Neighborhood Healthcare is seeking an Accounts Payable Supervisor in California to lead daily AP operations, improve close timelines, and maintain strong internal controls. You will guide AP staff, ensure accurate coding, and support regulatory filings, while collaborating with Procurement, Contracts, and Accounting.

The role requires 3+ years in AP or accounting, supervisory experience, and proficiency with MD365BC and ERP tools. A relevant degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
• 3 years of accounts payable or general accounting experience required, including supervisory or lead experience.
• Demonstrated experience with regulatory filings such as 1099s, sales/use tax, and unclaimed property strongly preferred.
• 3 years of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (MD365BC) experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily AP activities, including invoice processing and supplier inquiries.
• Oversee invoice approval workflows and correct coding.
• Serve as escalation point for supplier issues and internal inquiries.
• Ensure compliance with policy, internal controls, and audit requirements.
• Prepare/review journal entries for AP accruals, reclasses, and allocations.
• Oversee prepaid, recurring, and periodic expense schedules tied to AP.
• Identify gaps and streamline AP workflow and month-end close.
• Maintain and update SOPs and workflow maps.
