This role drives touchless processing, enforces internal controls, collaborates with Procurement, Treasury, IT, and Accounting, and mentors a growing AP group while advancing procure-to-pay efficiency.

Qualifications

• High-volume, multi-entity AP operation experience.
• Experience with D365 Finance AP workflow, three-way matching, and payment journals.
• Hands-on AP automation (Medius preferred) or similar tools (Coupa/Basware/Dooap).
• Strong internal controls knowledge over disbursements and segregation of duties.
• Proven ability to lead, develop, and retain a team with performance management.
• Strong analytical skills; advanced Excel.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for vendors and stakeholders.
• Familiarity with AI in AP, including intelligent invoice capture and AI assistants.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily operations of the Accounts Payable function including invoice intake, coding, matching, routing, payment runs, and vendor statement reconciliation.
• Serve as AP owner for Medius AP Automation and D365 Finance AP module configurations, workflows, and approvals.
• Drive touchless invoice processing through automation, data hygiene, and supplier enablement for electronic invoicing.
• Develop, document, and enforce AP policies, procedures, and internal controls; ensure SOX-like governance.
• Monitor AP KPIs like cycle time, touchless rate, aging, discounts, and exceptions; investigate trends.
• Manage disbursement calendar and payment methods with Treasury to optimize working capital and security.
• Oversee vendor master data governance and onboarding controls; manage banking details and fraud prevention.
• Resolve escalated vendor/internal issues; focus on root cause rather than fixes.
• Lead, coach, and develop the AP team; collaborate with Procurement, Treasury, IT on system upgrades and process improvements.
