Job summary

INLIVIAN is seeking an Accounting Specialist to assist in processing vendor payments, card purchases, and deposits, with data entry and posting to the general ledger. You will ensure timely payments, verify invoices, and maintain vendor records and 1099 compliance.

The role requires an associate degree and at least five years of bookkeeping or accounting experience, GAAP knowledge, and proficiency with Excel and Office tools. This on-site position supports housing operations in North Carolina.

Qualifications

• Two-year associate degree from an accredited college or university or graduate of a licensed business college.
• Five years of progressively responsible experience in bookkeeping, accounting, finance, or closely related field.

Responsibilities

• Assist with opening daily mail and stamps; verify vendor numbers, PO numbers, property, quantity, price and GL account.
• Enter and post invoices into the accounting system; reconcile to batch totals.
• Contact vendors or staff to clarify information and resolve discrepancies.
• Process purchasing card transactions; ensure receipts match statements and PO requirements.
• Maintain vendor information; verify 1099 set-up and prepare 1099s and 1096 to IRS.
• Prepare and mail checks and electronic payments; monitor bank for fraud.
