Vaco by Highspring in the Charlotte area is seeking a Staff Accountant to own Accounts Payable, manage the purchasing card program, and reconcile inventory to the General Ledger. You will partner with department leaders to ensure accurate, timely payments and provide backup across accounting functions.

The ideal candidate has at least 3 years in AP, strong Excel skills, and the ability to handle confidential information with discretion in a hybrid work environment.

Qualifikationen

• Associate degree or equivalent relevant business experience.
• Minimum of 3 years of Accounts Payable or related accounting experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and Adobe.
• Ability to quickly learn and effectively utilize company-specific accounting and operational systems.
• Power BI experience is a plus.
• Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.

Aufgaben

• Manage all aspects of the Accounts Payable process, including coding, routing, and processing invoices through AP automation systems.
• Administer Accounts Payable system users and approval workflows.
• Reconcile Accounts Payable activity to the General Ledger, inventory, and fixed asset systems.
• Manage the company-wide purchasing card program and complete monthly reconciliations.
• Prepare reports, schedules, and supporting documentation for management, the annual audit, and applicable tax filings.
• Cross-train on other accounting functions and collaborate with team members to provide backup support as needed.
• Assist with additional accounting projects and responsibilities as assigned.
• Maintain a professional, team-oriented approach when interacting with colleagues and other stakeholders.
• Demonstrate a willingness to provide a high level of service and support across the organization.
