Job summary

UC Santa Barbara is seeking a detail-oriented finance professional to manage the DFSS departments' accounts payable, accounts receivable, FlexCard, and deposits in a hybrid work arrangement at Navigator Building.

Under general supervision, you will ensure accurate processing, perform reconciliations, and support month-end close while upholding campus policies and delivering reliable vendor and internal customer service.

• Knowledge of basic accounting principles
• Proficient in MS Office programs. (High proficiency)

Responsibilities

• 60% Accounts Payable - prepares all accounts payable transactions; interfaces with Central Accounting on vendor payments; resolves invoicing price or unit discrepancies.
• 20% Accounts Receivable - prepares all accounts receivable transactions; records invoice recharge billings; inputs costing into systems for proper cost accounting.
• 10% FlexCard - reviews, reconciles, and audits all departmental FlexCard transactions.
• 5% Deposits - deposits checks and cash, verifies accuracy after deposits post.
• 5% Month-End Close and Audits - supports month-end close and responds to internal/external audit requests.
