Job summary

Chicanos Por La Causa, Inc. (CPLC) is seeking an in-office Accounts Payable specialist to support General Accounting by processing invoices, reconciling petty cash, and monitoring A/P aging.

The role emphasizes collaboration with Financial Analysts, automation of payments for utilities, vendor reconciliation, and timely processing of payables. A high school diploma and related accounting experience are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required with related accounting experience such as AP/AR, Finance Operations, Payroll, Invoicing.
• Excellent attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Proven ability to follow up and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• You will utilize various computer applications involving creating, and verification of financial records and forms.
• You will perform various supporting functions for General Accounting to include monitoring of daily processing of invoices, monitor and reconcile petty cash on a monthly basis, monthly review of A/P aging, and of re-occurring payables entry.
• You will work closely with Financial Analysts to review budgeted allocations in respect to A/P data entry and General Ledger coding.
• You will be responsible for automating electronic payments for utilities, phone and other services used by program locations, and or rental communities when deemed appropriate.
• You will work with outside vendors regularly to reconcile outstanding invoices that are paid and unpaid.
• You will develop and maintain a system to ensure all utilities invoices are received, processed, and paid timely.
