Job summary

Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Ottawa is seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk to support the finance team with AP processing, payroll entry, and general accounting duties. You will verify data, perform 3-way matches, and respond to vendor and team inquiries in a fast-paced environment.

This role requires strong attention to detail, effective communication in English, and the ability to handle high volumes of paperwork while maintaining confidentiality.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 1–3 years AP/general disbursements experience.
• Excellent time management, organizational and multitasking skills.
• Basic mathematical skills (add/subtract/multiply/divide).
• Computer systems and 10-key adding machine experience required.
• Ability to handle non-standard situations with sound judgment.
• Must communicate effectively in English.
• Experience with large volumes of paperwork preferred.
• Knowledge of a PO system is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Process and file AP invoices and checks.
• Process payroll and enter payroll data into the system.
• Respond to team member inquiries regarding payroll.
• Review vendor invoices and check requests for accuracy and documentation.
• Perform 3-way match of PO, receiving docs, and invoice.
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.
• Prepare monthly accruals for invoices.
