Position Purpose

The Accounts Payable Lead will be an integral part of our team and is primarily responsible to administer the Accounts Payable function for VERBIO’s U.S. and Canadian locations. This position will report directly to the Head of Accounting and Tax and will have one direct report from Accounts Payable with potential for more direct reports as the Company grows. This is a full-time salaried position.

Key Responsibilities

• Process Accounts Payable invoices in Yooz, including ensuring correct documentation, accurately processed and appropriate authorization
• Export Invoices from Yooz to ERP System, Microsoft GP and ensure accuracy.
• Process and pay out Employee Expense Reimbursement Forms.
• Prepare weekly payments to suppliers
• Record vendor payments in GP and match with invoices
• Export payment proposals from ERP System to Bank to issue out pay runs.
• Setup and maintain vendor master data, including validation of supplier bank detail
• Process annual 1099’s
• Responsible for closing AP at month end close, which includes but is not limited to:
• Booking all invoices for the month
• Accounts Payable GL Account Reconciliation
• Getting all AP Cash/Bank related transactions booked and matching to Bank Statement.
• Support indirect Purchase Order (PO) process in Yooz and coordinate with corporate German team to transition construction project PO’s to Yooz
• Manage all adhoc invoice and payment inquiries/requests from other departments and from the Head of Accounting.
• Work on AP process improvements and AP system improvements with I.T. department.
• Help with the Year End Audit as it relates to AP related questions.
  

Qualifications

• 7+ years of Accounts Payable required
• Experience working with ERP systems required, GP & Yooz a plus
• Experience managing a team a plus
• Associates or Bachelor’s degree in business a plus
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving analysis as well as high level of data entry accuracy
• Positive team player with effective written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work with sensitive data and maintain confidentiality
