Location: Irving, TX, 75063

The Accounts Payable Clerk is responsible for completing payments and controlling expenses by receiving, processing, verifying, and reconciling invoices. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills and attention to detail, as well as experience with accounting software and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive and process invoices, ensuring accuracy and completeness of information
• Verify and reconcile processed work by comparing system reports to balances
• Analyze invoice/expense reports and record entries in accounting system
• Charge expenses to accounts and cost centers
• Pay vendors by verifying federal ID numbers, bank information, purchase orders, contracts, invoices, and payment discrepancies and documentation
• Maintain accounting ledgers by verifying and posting account transactions
• Reconcile vendor accounts by reviewing monthly statements and related transactions
• Complete related tasks as needed to accomplish accounting and organizational missions

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in accounting or related field preferred
• 2+ years of experience in accounts payable or general accounting
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Experience with accounting software and procedures
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
