Safety Solutions & Supply is seeking an experienced Accounting Specialist to own accounts payable and contribute to reconciliations, general ledger maintenance, financial reporting, and month-end closing.

The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, proficient with accounting software and spreadsheets, comfortable with automation, and capable of improving AP processes while collaborating with management and auditors.

Qualifications

• Manage the full accounts payable process, including vendor invoices and payments.
• Perform bank and credit card reconciliations.
• Prepare and post journal entries per procedures.
• Support month-end and year-end closing.
• Review P&L and balance sheet for accuracy.
• Assist with financial reporting and analysis.
• Support auditors and outside accountants with documentation.
• Leverage AI tools to improve workflows while maintaining data confidentiality.

Responsabilités

• Oversee accounts payable lifecycle from invoices to payments.
• Maintain records and monitor payment deadlines.
• Investigate discrepancies and balance sheet accuracy.
• Perform regular reconciliations and GL maintenance.
• Assist with month-end close and financial reporting.
• Identify process improvements and internal controls.
• Collaborate with management and auditors.
• Utilize AI tools to automate accounting workflows.
