Job summary

Discount Tire is seeking an Accounts Payable professional in Phoenix, AZ with a minimum of two years of AP experience and SAP or equivalent accounting software experience. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical, data-entry, and Excel/Word skills and will provide excellent internal and external customer service.

The role supports store inventory accuracy through 3‑way matching and timely processing. Normal workdays are Monday through Friday, with occasional Saturdays as needed.

Qualifications

• This position requires a minimum of two years of accounts payable experience.
• Experience with SAP or other accounting related software is required.
• Proven analytical skills is required.
• Proficient in alpha and numeric data entry by touch, 10 key by touch and a minimum typing speed of 40 wpm are required.
• Proficient in Microsoft office, including Word and Excel, is necessary.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and customer service skills.
• The ability to work within a team and serve as a trusted expert for assigned duties is necessary.
• Troubleshooting, organizational and problem solving skills with a can-do attitude and the ability to adjust to changing requirements are essential.
• Treating others with respect and upholding Company values is key.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots and resolves invoices with 3‑way match exceptions.
• Seeks invoice and good‑receipts (GR) approvals.
• Identifies valid proof of delivery (POD) for goods‑receipts (GR) for store inventory accuracy.
• Detects valid pricing discrepancies.
• Calculates deductions and paybacks as needed.
• Assists employees and/or customers by answering questions related to accounts, procedures, and services.
• Completes work in a timely and accurate manner while providing exceptional customer service.
• Other duties as assigned.
