Job summary

Discount Tire is seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk to process invoices, resolve 3-way match exceptions, and handle AP inquiries. The role requires SAP experience, strong data entry (40 wpm), and proficiency with Word/Excel, along with solid analytical and customer service skills. Normal hours are 8:00 a.m.

to 5:00 p.m., Monday–Friday, with potential for occasional extra hours. High school diploma required; college accounting classes are a plus.

Qualifications

• This position requires a minimum of two years of accounts payable experience.
• Experience with SAP or other accounting related software is required.
• Proven analytical skills is required.
• Proficient in alpha and numeric data entry by touch, 10 key by touch, and typing speed of 40 wpm.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Ability to work within a team and serve as a trusted expert for assigned duties.
• Troubleshooting, organizational and problem solving skills with a can-do attitude.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots and resolves invoices with 3-way match exceptions.
• Seeks invoice and good-receipts (GR) approvals.
• Identifies valid proof of delivery (POD) for goods-receipts (GR) for store inventory accuracy.
• Detects valid pricing discrepancies.
• Calculates deductions and paybacks as needed.
• Assists employees and/or customers by answering questions related to accounts, procedures and services
• Completes work in a timely and accurate manner while providing exceptional customer service
• Other duties as assigned
