The Austin Stone Community Church is seeking an Accounts Payable Associate to support expense reimbursements and the AP process. This part-time role (10-20 hours per week) reports to the Accounting Manager and focuses on maintaining the AP system, approving expenses, and updating bank records.
Responsibilities include vendor setup (1099), weekly payments, reconciling checks, and providing staff spending reports.
As part of the Ministry Operations team at The Austin Stone Community Church, The Accounts Payable Associate (APA) will be responsible for the expense reimbursement and accounts payable process, including maintaining the accounts payable system, expense approvals, and updating bank records. The APA will work part-time, 10-20 hours per week. The APA will report to the Accounting Manager.

Ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy. Uses a systematic approach to problem solving. Able to anticipate what information would be helpful and take initiative to report on it. Ability to analyze existing tools and databases and provide software solution recommendations. Able to think logically and systematically through a problem. Solves problems with creativity and minimal input. Able to successfully develop new and better ways to work and promote a continuous improvement mentality.
Communication - Demonstrated capacity to inspire, instruct, and encourage through effective communication in various settings. Able to communicate and work within a complex organizational structure with multiple layers of input. Ability to understand, parse and communicate key project details.
Collaboration - Collaborate across the organization and with various internal and external partners. Exemplifies and defends the Doctrines, Convictions, Philosophies, and Strategies of The Austin Stone Community Church as outlined in our Culture documents.
Digital Systems - Understanding of and experience with the operation of computer systems including G Suite, accounting and expense software, Slack, Asana, and MS Office suite of products.
