The Austin Stone Community Church seeks a Sunday Teams Lead to deliver a high quality, engaging and safe experience for Sunday worshippers, while making disciples through leadership and volunteer opportunities. The STL will equip and mobilize volunteer leaders to carry out the Sunday environment with excellence and report to the Congregation Executive Pastor for development and oversight.

The Sunday Teams Lead (STL) will be responsible to deliver a high quality, engaging, and safe experience for Sunday worshippers each week, while making disciples of Jesus Christ through leadership and volunteer opportunities within Sunday Teams. The STL will equip and mobilize volunteer leaders and partners to carry out the Sunday environment with excellence. The STL reports to the Congregation Executive Pastor (CXP) for development, performance and oversight.
In order to lead effectively at The Austin Stone, a Sunday Teams Lead must have the following competencies:
Administration - Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, and implement ministry programming. Integrate multiple perspectives and synthesize them into a cohesive plan. Strong ability to support multiple projects simultaneously, with dependability and excellence. Understanding of The Austin Stone's ministry strategy and competency in application of strategies in equipping and mobilization. Able to manage a ministry budget.
Communication - Has clarity of speech and proper use of grammar. Demonstrated capacity to inspire, instruct, and encourage through effective communication in various settings. Able to communicate and work within a complex organizational structure with multiple layers of input.
Collaborative Leadership - Strong complementary leadership skills in relation to the rest of the congregation staff team and an ability to lead in concert with other leaders. Ability to integrate multiple perspectives and synthesize them into a cohesive plan. Collaborate across the organization and with various ministry partners.
Process Oriented & Organizational Skills - Proven skills in creating, implementing, maintaining, and following through on processes that ensure people are engaged, cared for, informed and connected. Able to create and manage a ministry budget. Able to successfully develop new and better ways to work and promote a continuous improvement mentality.
Leadership Development - Ability to lead, recruit, resource, and mobilize volunteer teams to scale. Skilled at multiplying effective ministry leaders who can communicate and uphold the values of The Austin Stone. Able to lead a motivated and diverse group of people by establishing a clear vision for the team, training and developing talent, providing feedback and ensuring the proper learning for each team member.
