The Austin Stone Community Church is seeking a Childcare Coordinator to safely organize childcare for church events. You will work with the KIDS Ministry Director to plan, schedule, and staff childcare for Sunday and non-sunday events.
You will recruit and screen contract workers, maintain event calendars, secure spaces, and ensure safety policies are followed. The role requires clear communication and budget stewardship to serve families well.

As part of a congregation staff team at the Austin Stone Community Church, the Childcare Coordinator will be responsible for safely coordinating any childcare event planned by the congregation staff team. The Childcare Coordinator position will come alongside other ministries to provide safe and enjoyable care for children in order that their parents may be equipped, receive care, or pray and worship. The Childcare Coordinator will report to the KIDS Ministry Director for vision, development and oversight. They will work to ensure that any childcare provided for events outside of Sunday morning worship are planned and executed safely and with excellence.
Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, and implement event programming. Integrate multiple perspectives and synthesize them into a cohesive plan. Strong ability to support multiple projects simultaneously, with dependability and excellence.
Has clarity of speech and proper use of grammar. Demonstrated capacity to inspire, instruct, and encourage through effective communication in various settings. Able to communicate and work within a complex organizational structure with multiple layers of input. Ability to engage and interact with children in a large group setting.
Proven skills in creating, implementing, maintaining, and following through on processes that ensure people are engaged, cared for, informed and connected. Ability to coordinate multiple projects and tasks simultaneously. Able to successfully develop new and better ways to work and promote a continuous improvement mentality.
Collaborate across the organization and with various ministry partners. Ability to integrate multiple perspectives and synthesize them into a cohesive plan.
Ability to recruit and manage childcare contract workers.
