Job summary

Vaco by Highspring, partnering with a well-established manufacturer in Jacksonville, seeks an AP Analyst for a contract-to-hire role. Hybrid schedule in Jacksonville, FL with pay $28/hour, offering growth beyond invoice processing into analytics and process improvement within a large corporate environment.

The ideal candidate has at least 3 years in Accounts Payable, solid Excel skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of Accounts Payable experience.
• Manufacturing industry experience preferred.
• Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or equivalent experience.
• Working knowledge of General Ledger concepts and accounting principles.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform vendor payment reconciliations and act as a subject matter expert for AP processes.
• Review, analyze, and resolve complex invoice, vendor, and payment discrepancies.
• Support analysis of procurement costs and related financial results.
• Prepare and file annual 1099s in compliance with IRS regulations.
• Assist with annual financial statement audits by compiling supporting documentation and responding to audit inquiries.
• Serve as a key liaison between vendors and internal departments to resolve payment issues and discrepancies.
• Review vendor debit balances and take appropriate corrective action.
• Monitor aging payables to ensure balances remain within company guidelines.
• Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities.
• Review and approve vendor maintenance requests.
• Create and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Perform operational reviews and support internal control compliance.
• Train and mentor onshore and offshore team members.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and special projects.
• Ensure compliance with company AP policies, accounting procedures, and internal controls.
