Job summary

Vaco by Highspring in Cincinnati is seeking an Accounts Payable Supervisor to lead a small team in a fast-paced home office environment. This direct-hire role reports to the Accounts Payable Manager and focuses on accurate payment processing and strong AP controls.

You will supervise daily AP activities, set up vendors, manage ACH and check runs, and ensure timely processing of invoices and 1099 forms, working with field teams and external vendors.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily Accounts Payable activities and provide support to AP team members.
• Prepare, review, correct, and file 1099 forms.
• Set up and maintain new vendor accounts, ensuring accurate and complete vendor information.
• Manage ACH setup and verification for employees and vendors.
• Process invoices by splitting Tronitech-imaged batches and ensuring accurate processing.
• Manage check runs and ACH payment files, including bank submission and release.
• Process voids, garnishments, and ACH returns.
• Manage positive pay and research outstanding or uncashed checks.
• Collaborate with field AP teams, internal departments, and vendors to resolve payment and account issues.
• Ensure AP processes are accurate, efficient, and compliant with company policies and procedures.

Vaco is recruiting for an Accounts Payable Supervisor - this is a direct hire opportunity.
Salary: $60-$65K

Position Overview

• Support a team of 3-4 Accounts Payable professionals within a fast-paced, high-volume Home Office environment.
• Partner closely with AP representatives across various field operations and external vendors to ensure accurate and timely payment processing.
• Provide guidance, oversight, and issue resolution while maintaining strong AP controls and processes.
• Report directly to the Accounts Payable Manager.
• Strong communication, organization, attention to detail, and leadership skills are essential.

Key Responsibilities
