Job summary

American Seafoods Group in Seattle, WA is seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk to join our finance team. The role focuses on processing invoices and payments, handling domestic and international wire transfers, and reconciling vendor statements.

You will support monthly accruals, respond to payment inquiries, and maintain strong Excel/Word skills. This full-time, hybrid position offers comprehensive benefits and a competitive salary.

Qualifications

• Experience in accounts payable or accounting clerk role (1 year minimum).
• College degree preferred but not required with experience.
• Strong Excel and Word skills.

Responsibilities

• Process invoices and credit memos daily.
• Process domestic and international wire transfers.
• Review printed checks and wire transfers for proper support and valid authorization.
• Research and support invoice and payment questions.
• Reconcile vendor statements on a timely basis.
• Assist in preparation of monthly accrual report.
• Follow up on unresolved items.
• Demonstrated general accounting knowledge.
• Strong computer skills including Excel and Word.
• Professional interpersonal and communication skills.

Description

Duties and Responsibilities

• Process invoices and credit memos daily
• Process domestic and international wire transfers
• Review printed checks and wire transfers for proper support and valid authorization
• Research and support invoice and payment questions
• Reconcile vendor statements on a timely basis
• Assist in preparation of monthly accrual report
• Follow up on unresolved items
• Other projects and assignments as needed
• Demonstrated general accounting knowledge
• Strong computer skills including Excel and Word
• Professional interpersonal and communication skills
• Reliability and dependability

Education/Experience Required

• College degree desired, but not required if experience is met
• Minimum 1 year experience in an accounts payable position or 1 year in an accounting clerk position.

Work Schedule

Anticipated hours are:

Monday – Friday 8:00AM - 5:00PM

Hybrid Schedule with option to work from home Monday’s and Friday’s

Salary Range: $58,000 - $65,000 DOE (This position is non-exempt)
