Job summary

Price Ford of Simi Valley in Simi Valley, CA seeks a detail-oriented Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable Clerk to support our busy dealership accounting team.

The role is full-time with a Monday–Friday schedule, pay of $20.00–$25.00 per hour, and involves processing vendor invoices, matching POs, reconciling accounts, and assisting with month-end closing.

Qualifications

• Prior AP/AR experience required.
• Automotive dealership accounting experience preferred.
• Proficient in MS Excel and strong attention to detail.
• Able to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication and teamwork.

Job description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable Clerk to support our busy dealership accounting department. The ideal candidate is organized, accurate, and able to thrive in a fast-paced automotive environment.

Position Details

• Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour, depending on experience
• Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
• Full-Time Position

Responsibilities

Accounts Payable

• Process vendor invoices and dealership expenses
• Match purchase orders, invoices, and receipts
• Prepare and process check runs
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
• Maintain accurate AP records and filing systems

Accounts Receivable

• Post customer and vendor payments accurately
• Reconcile accounts and investigate outstanding balances
• Prepare deposits and maintain AR records
• Monitor receivables and assist with collections as needed
• Support month-end closing activities

General Accounting Duties

• Assist with account reconciliations
• Maintain confidentiality of financial information
• Communicate professionally with vendors, customers, and dealership staff
• Provide administrative support to the accounting department
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Previous Accounts Payable and/or Accounts Receivable experience required
• Automotive dealership accounting experience preferred
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Reliable, professional, and team-oriented
