Job summary

The Confederated Tribes and Bands of the Yakama Nation is seeking an Account Support Specialist to support Tribal Forestry and the Department of Natural Resources. The role involves processing purchase orders, travel authorizations, payroll actions, and assisting with leave audits, while supporting budgets and grant records.

You will maintain filing systems, manage contracts and bid packages, coordinate supplies, and track transactions in D365, ensuring audit-ready documentation.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of accounting procedures including D365 account software and audit procedures.
• Familiarity with OMB Circulars and accounting terminology.
• Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat.

Responsibilities

• Prepares purchase orders, travel authorizations, and payroll action forms for Tribal Forestry.
• Assists with Leave Audits for Tribal Forestry and other DNR programs.
• Maintain electronic filing system on Forestry shared drive.
• Maintains Tribal Forestry self-funded accounts by managing revenue, expenditures, and receivables.
• Verify GL accounts with Account Manager or Administrative staff.
• Manage Administrative aspects of program contracting: bids, labor contracts, and audit-ready records.
• Place supply orders for Tribal Forestry and DNR Administration.
• Assist with program errands and replenishing office supplies.
• Maintain program records and inventories.
• Provide monthly narrative of tasks performed.
