Job summary

State of Missouri and the St. Louis Forensic Treatment Center – North Campus in St. Louis, MO are seeking a full-time Accounts Assistant.

The role handles billing, CIMOR data entry, and financial reconciliation for Hawthorn Children’s Psychiatric Hospital and both FTC campus locations. Responsibilities include managing insurance claims, preparing LabCorp lab reports for CIMOR billing, processing bills via Healthlink Access Database, maintaining monthly Excel revenue spreadsheets, assigning

Qualifications

• 1 to 3 years of relevant experience (Substitution may be allowed).
• Knowledge of billing insurance claims.
• Knowledge of basic research methods related to financial transactions.
• Ability to identify and resolve issues.
• Reliable, great organizational skills and attention to details.
• Ability to use a computer and work with various software.

Responsibilities

• Effectively manage claims for Hawthorn and FTC, including monthly cycle of claims submission, monitoring, and denial management across Manage Care, Private insurance, Medicare and Medicaid claims in various systems to ensure reimbursement while complying with payer guidelines.
• Prepares monthly lab reports from LabCorp Pathology for entry into CIMOR for billing purposes.
• Processing medical bills via Healthlink’s Access Database and sending letters to providers as needed.
• Maintaining monthly billing spreadsheets for Cost Reporting using Excel to track, categorize, and total revenue.
• Adding and determining the correct Revenue code to use for checks to ensure proper posting on the checklog.
• Gather, sort and distribute incoming mail to the correct individuals or department.

This full-time Accounts Assistant position at the St. Louis Forensic Treatment Center – North Campus handles billing, data entry in CIMOR, and financial reconciliation and critical thinking for Hawthorn Children’s Psychiatric Hospital and both FTC campus location.

Responsibilities
