Job summary

State of Missouri's St. Louis Forensic Treatment Center North seeks a Licensed Clinical Social Worker to join the Competency Restoration Program. This inpatient, minimum-security ward serves justice-involved clients ordered for psychiatric care.

Salary is state pay with multiple levels: Clinical Caseworker, Sr. Clinical Case Worker, and LCSW, with annual salaries ranging from about $38k to $58.5k. Responsibilities include assessments, treatment plans, case management, and risk assessments.

(Sr. Clinical Case Worker) Semi-Monthly Salary: $1,958.03 / Annual Salary: $46,992.72

St. Louis Forensic Treatment Center North is hiring a Social Worker in the Competency Restoration Program. Our facility provides specialized care for clients who are justice-involved individuals who have been court ordered for psychiatric care and treatment. Our goal is to restore individuals to competence, so they may continue with legal proceedings when possible. This is a more acute psychiatric, inpatient hospital setting by court order. This setting is a minimum security level in a ward environment.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct Social Service Assessments (Initial and/or Annual)
• Complete admission paperwork
• Provide individual and/or group treatment related to skills, therapy modalities, and competency restoration and complete corresponding documentation
• Complete Individual Treatment/Rehabilitation Plans (ITRP) and Treatment Reviews
• Write monthly notes progress/summary notes for clients
• Offer case management to assigned clients
• Conduct suicide risk and other risk assessments as needed
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team on a regular basis
• Participate in discharge and legal processes (e.g. guardianship) as necessary
• Other duties as assigned Eligibility:
• Must have prior experience providing care for clients diagnosed with mental illness, substance use disorders, and/or intellectual developmental disorders
• Knowledge of the DSM, evidence-based practices, and best social work practices encouraged
• Degree or License in Social Work (MSW, LMSW, or LCSW) preferred, but will consider candidates who meet the minimum qualifications
• Willing to consider individuals who hold a BSW or related degree and are nearing completion of a MSW degree. This individual would likely qualify as a Clinical Caseworker until completion of MSW degree
