Servbank is seeking an Accounting Team Lead to join our Finance and Accounting organization. The role emphasizes leadership, technical expertise, and accountability to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years in accounting, a BA/BS in accounting or finance, strong GAAP knowledge, and proficiency in Excel and accounting software within a banking environment. You will lead daily accounting activities and support audits.

• GAAP proficiency and strong internal controls.
• Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to prioritize workload, meet deadlines, and manage multiple responsibilities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Excel and accounting software.
• Experience preparing account reconciliations, journal entries, and financial reporting schedules.
• Knowledge of banking operations, regulatory reporting, and financial institution accounting preferred.
• Ability to identify process improvement opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Lead by example and foster accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Prepare and review journal entries and reconcile daily cash and investments.
• Prepare, review, and maintain account reconciliations and schedules.
• Support month-end and year-end close processes and regulatory reporting.
• Assist with regulatory reports such as FR 2900, Call Report, and Y-9SP.
• Serve as backup for Accounts Payable and vendor invoices processing.
• Identify inefficiencies and implement approved enhancements.
• Collaborate with internal departments to resolve accounting questions.
