Job summary

Servbank seeks an Accounting Team Lead to guide the Finance and Accounting group, upholding GAAP, control standards, and timely reporting. You will lead by example, drive process improvements, and mentor staff while ensuring accurate journal entries and reconciliations.

You will oversee close processes, prepare schedules, and collaborate with auditors and internal partners. A strong background in banking accounting and regulatory reporting is preferred.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of GAAP and accounting controls.
• Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to independently prioritize workload and meet deadlines.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with reconciliations, journal entries, and financial reporting schedules.
• Knowledge of banking operations, regulatory reporting, and financial institution accounting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Independently compile, analyze, and review financial information to prepare and record journal entries within the general ledger.
• Record, reconcile, and analyze the Bank's cash and investment activities, identifying variances.
• Prepare, review, and maintain account reconciliations and close processes.
• Support month-end and year-end close, including schedules and supporting documentation.
• Produce daily, weekly, and monthly accounting schedules and reports with high accuracy.
• Assist with audits by collecting and organizing documentation and responding to requests.
• Collaborate with internal departments to resolve accounting questions and implement enhancements.
