Job summary

Servbank is seeking an experienced Accounting Team Lead to guide our Finance and Accounting team. You will lead by example, oversee journal entries, reconciliations, and close processes, and ensure accuracy and timeliness.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s in accounting and at least five years of banking or financial services experience, strong GAAP knowledge, advanced Excel skills, and the ability to collaborate across departments.

• Proficiency in GAAP and accounting controls.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to prioritize workload, meet deadlines, and manage multiple responsibilities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software applications.

Responsibilities

• Lead the accounting team to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and accountability.
• Prepare, review, and record journal entries and reconcile accounts.
• Support month-end and year-end close processes and provide schedules and documentation.
• Maintain and update departmental procedures ensuring internal control compliance.
• Assist with audits, regulatory reporting, and AP backup as needed.
• Identify process improvements and drive implementation of enhancements.
• Collaborate with internal departments to resolve accounting questions.
