Job summary

Servbank is seeking an Accounting Team Lead to join our Finance and Accounting organization. You will lead a small team, ensure accuracy and timeliness of financial statements, and maintain strong internal controls while guiding day-to-day accounting operations.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in Accounting, at least 5 years of accounting experience in banking or financial services, proficiency in Excel, GAAP, and accounting software, and the ability to prioritize and communicate

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of GAAP and accounting controls.
• Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to independently prioritize workload, meet deadlines, and manage multiple responsibilities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software applications.

Responsibilities

• Lead by example and foster accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Prepare, record, and review journal entries within the general ledger system with proper support.
• Record and analyze daily cash and investment activities and identify variances.
• Prepare reconciliations and ensure timely resolution of outstanding items.
• Support month-end and year-end close processes and related schedules and documentation.
• Produce daily, weekly, and monthly accounting reports with high accuracy.
• Maintain up-to-date departmental procedures and internal controls documentation.
• Support audits by organizing and validating audit documentation.
